The Library and Information Centre is the heart of the Vijaya Teachers College, and provides an ideal environment for Research Assistance, Reading, Learning and Instructional Resources. It plays a vital role in educational development of the students as well as the faculty. It is the place of knowledge, open for teacher educators and Student-teachers. Library builds knowledge and support teaching and learning and also provides better service to its user. VTC has established its own library open in the academic year 1960 for students as well as for faculty members.
Presently Library has 18620 volumes of books including Encyclopedias, Dictionaries, Gazetteers and Year books. Also 235 Dissertations, Journals Back Volumes, CD’S, DVD’s and Video Cassettes etc.,Library subscribes twenty educational journals and magazines with 6 newspapers. Internet facility is available for students to browse and down-load information. Photo coping facility is also available in the library.
Library and Information Center has fully computerized and using Libsoft Library software for Library transaction.
Library also provides other facilities to students such as web-resources management, SC/ST book bank system etc.
